I have currently been working in the hospitality industry for 7 years. All of my experience has taken place in the kitchen in which I have worked many positions. I attended culinary school and graduated with a degree in Applied Science in Culinary Arts with honors. Since 2011, I have worked for Story, an upscale American restaurant in the Kansas City area. In 2013, I made the decision to move to New York to find opportunities at some of the top restaurants in the city. I trailed at Per Se, Le Bernardin, Marea, Nomad, Dovetail and more. When I returned to Kansas City I was able to return to Story with the offer to take the title as sous chef which I accepted. My career goal right now is to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible in food and wine. Down the road I would like to open a place of my own in which I would like to focus on local and sustainable ingredients.
