Scotts and Co are a retail organisation, selling consumer direct via 9 brands selling through Catalogs and websites. I was responsible for coordinating the delivery of all IT projects as well as offering a Projects Management service across the business.

The websites are based upon the IBM WebSphere Commerce Multi-Site Platform.As Project Manager ran the web project to upgrade from Webspere Commerce vsn 5 to vsn 6, including a re write of the system by a new software provider. Guiding the company through the requirements gathering process, the system development through to Software delivery, Training & User acceptance testing. Upgrading all websites in 14 months only two weeks over the initial schedule.

M and M are a consumer Organisation selling Sports and fashion clothing via catalogues and Website, that during this period has grown from £11m turnover per year to over £95m.Key responsibilities:Supporting the new business team to ensure the new projects were compatible with the existing business process, and providing support and training.Achievements:I worked with the new team and our software provider to implement a multi channel operation to allow the company to introduce a White label channel and overseas channels (EURO and Nordic). Also additional New Medias to market to customers.Working with the new Business analyst team and the new web team in Bristol I helped design and implement an EBay interface to allow M and M to open a shop in EBay.Worked with our existing suppliers and Berkley’s to design an interface to their new Falcon (Adyen) card charging system to introduce a token based system to allow for full PCI compliance and to give M and M access to additional European charging method, i.e. Ideal, ELV and PayPal.Worked on Projects implementing Hit box and Tealeaf website monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities:• Controlling the implementation of projects delivering both business and It changes.Achievements:• Managed the move from the Sanderson Website to a new product (Cshop) built by Iocea. This was built and implemented from scratch in 6 months. Allowing the proportion of orders taken on the web to grow from 10% to over 80%. Working on SEO, Site monitoring, Web Analytics, checkout Tunnel.• Implemented a new Finance reporting system.• Selection and implemented a new marketing reporting system (SmartFOCUS).• Managed the role out of five new retail outlets to use as a clearance operation.• Implemented the CommIdea Credit card Bureaux system to handle the increasing volumes of credit card charging.• Managed a process to improve the Fraud handling, implementing a card security team and a Fraud process with a company called 192.com that has kept the card claims down to £30k per year while keeping cancelled orders down below 3%• Started to implement the new Banking PCI DSS regulations, working with our software providers and Trustwave to introduce full card encryption in both the Web environment and the main sales system. • Implemented an Affiliate management system for the Website, to manage multiple affiliates.• Managed the implementation of new Email Marketing system.• At the end of this period I worked with the operations team on the selection process (4 suppliers) to evaluate replacement warehouse systems finally deciding upon Manhattan. I then worked with our existing suppliers and Manhattan to build the systems integration to our existing Sales order and Carrier systems, this system went live in August 2009.

Sanderson are software house providing business solutions for the Consumer direct marketplace, they have over 20 Mailorder businesses they support.During my 9 years with Sanderson I worked my way up from Systems implementer to Business Analyst / Project Manager, working with companies such as Redhouse books, The Book people, Cima, the BBC, Thompson and Morgan seeds, Hidden Hearing and AGB Prolog, M and M, RNLI, Vision Tec, ND Novaphon.

Simdell were a software house providing payroll, Grain trading and 4GL software packages. In my five years with Simdell I worked in as a support analyst and Systems Implementer.

In my five years with the Metropole hotel group I moved from a position as night auditor into the IT department where I managed systems implementations in the London, Brighton and Blackpool hotels, training staff in all departments.
