Growing up I quickly realized that I had a knack for learning new things and a insatiable hunger to do so. My dad got into the hedge fund business when I was very young so the ins and outs of what he did was inaccessible to me at the time, but I always wanted to learn more about it. As I grew older I learned about the fast paced world of investing and decided this was a great career path for me as I could apply my love for learning with my great interest in the financial/economic world. In college I started doing my own research and investing and joined the Penn State Investment Association in which I specialized in the technology sector. I was fortunate enough after my junior year to secure an internship at a hedge fund that also focused on technology stocks. I have gained a lot of experience this summer while affirming that this is in fact what I want to do for the rest of my life. It is a great feeling discovering a new company on your own that ends up making money for your company. I am now looking forward to bringing my experiences with me to new places as I continue my career as a financial analyst.
