My current role involves collaborating with the Estates Corporate Services Associate Director and Operational Manager to implement quality procedures for regulating facility services across the Trust’s Public Finance Initiative (PFI) Estate. I create and implement systems, with the assistance of specialist advisors and functional leads, to monitor and audit the service provider, ensuring consistently high maintenance standards in all areas.Working with functional leads and specialist advisors, we manage the key engineering systems, including HTM safe work systems, throughout the PFI Estate. These systems encompass ventilation, pressure systems, medical gases, and more. Our team audits and monitors the services provided by external vendors to ensure consistently high facility and maintenance standards. We focus on improving service efficiency and quality, addressing changing national targets, and handling complaints

Responsible for managing and operating the Building Management System (BMS) at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Working across two BMS platforms, SIEMENS Desigo and Schneider EcoStruxure, the hospital's BMS controls, signals, and monitors all major engineering systems utilised within the hospital complex. These systems include steam calorifiers & PHXs, DHW & HTG systems, and associated field equipment, as well as CHW systems, water systems, and ventilation systems.

As an Energy Support Officer, my primary focus was on enhancing utility management throughout the Trust's estate, with the goal of improving internal conditions, enhancing energy efficiency, and driving reductions in both costs and emissions. One of the key achievements during this time was the development and implementation of a comprehensive M&T system (monitoring and targeting).Central to this project was the installation of automated metering systems across the Trust's three major sites. This system gave us access to half-hourly data from our fiscal meters, enabling in-depth analysis to identify and prevent unnecessary energy and water consumption. Our team maintained a strong focus on emissions reduction, and the M&T system played a pivotal role in our efforts. It provided us with the ability to pinpoint areas of high energy consumption, devise and implement effective strategies for consumption reduction, and accurately quantify our impact through data analysis.By utilizing this system, we were not only able to make targeted improvements in energy management but also to contribute meaningfully to our broader sustainability objectives. Our results-driven approach, powered by the insights drawn from the M&T system, facilitated continuous progress towards a more efficient and environmentally conscious operation.
