Computer Numerical Control Machinist

Key Accountabilities / Activities; • Oversee machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load. • Load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size. • Ensure drilling and punch operation is carried out to the correct specification/quality and cycle time. • Perform work by following the operating standards and regulations. • Complete the required performance documentation and participates in improvement activities, including workshops. • Regularly inspects and carry out maintenance on the machines for mechanical and safety issues • Verifies inventory and places orders as necessary ensuring that the machine is well-stocked at all times to refuse interruptions to operation • Examine machinery production output to verify the product is acceptable to move onto the next part of the production process • Maintain and update records about the machine's operations and the team's overall performance • Read up on machinery features and attending safety and other courses to enhance on-the-job operations
