Reached 9.6 million people in 6 months. My role at Teradata was key in supporting the UK&I sales and business development team and the UK&I marketing & PR manager. The overall objective of marketing & PR at Teradata was to increase brand awareness and support the sales teams in improving the visibility of Teradata solutions throughout customer and prospect accounts. This was achieved through creating engaging content such as events, whitepapers, collateral and advertising.As a marketing executive I was heavily involved in event management, from inception to execution, of both internal and external events. This included communicating and liaising with decision makers in customer and prospect accounts. Another key element of the role was working with the wider UK&I sales team to maximise participation in corporate marketing and PR programs and maintaining Teradata’s contact database. I volunteered at Boutinot to further develop my personal skills and experience whilst at University. Whilst at Boutinot I worked on two main projects;Initially, I worked within a group to analyse Boutinot's brand strategy and further develop a marketing and branding strategy for a new product line. The project included selecting original brand ideas and brainstorming different marketing and promotional techniques that could be undertaken with each brand. Once we had decided on a brand, we developed a marketing strategy which was deployed later on in the year.Secondly, I worked within a small team of three to undertake market research in national supermarkets. The project including collecting and analysing data to see where supermarkets can optimise their sales in the wine market. Our data coupled with market trends and sales, provided insight into the wine market, therefore providing leverage for the sales team to target key areas in the supermarket industry.
