An exemplary 12 Year career in the British Army serving in The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.I have served in the UK, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Kenya, Falkland Islands and Afghanistan.By trade I am a heavily experienced Mechanical Engineer and Production Manager with extensive knowledge and experience across various vehicles, equipment, processes, health and safety. I was a STEM ambassador for the Army and in the latter stages of my military career I worked in public engagement within the Army STEM Youth Engagement Team conducting STEM based workshops within schools and at national STEM events across the UK. Finally, I overhauled the processes in indirect recruitment with a Continuous Improvement Project reducing waste, increasing output and improving the Army’s national footprint. After leaving the military in December 2020 I joined Northern Trains as a Skilled Train Maintainer and Depot Driver and moved up to an Outstation Depot Supervisor. My role included managing production plans and maintenance tasks, train movements, staff management and maintaining a high level of Health and Safety across the Depot. My current role at Northern is Performance Improvement Specialist - Senior Manager. My role includes improvement implementation, change management and a champion for driving performance and efficiency. Along with my Engineering and Production Management qualifications, knowledge and experience, I am also a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and hold ILM 5 in Service Improvement and ILM 4 in Leadership and Management. In my spare time I run my own clothing company; POWER CLO. - I started Power Clo early 2022 as a personal therapy coping strategy after my diagnosis with Testicular Cancer.
