PostDoc in the ETH Systems Group under Prof. Gustavo Alonso. Research work on optimized sketching algorithms for large data streams both on Xeon-class server hardware and FPGA-based accelerators. The latter particularly focusing on Vivado HLS implementations. Also organizing and teaching in the master seminar Hardware Acceleration for Machine Learning reviving my ML background.

I was an EU-funded Marie-Curie Research Fellow at Xilinx Research at their Dublin office in Ireland. This one-year opportunity for an industrial research experience was enabled by the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No. 751339. I joined the group of Michaela Blott contributing my experience in computer arithmetic, digital design and massively parallel computation on FPGAs to the research team working on reduced-precision neural network inference on heterogeneous all-programmable Xilinx devices.
