Hello,My name is Thomas Puhl, I am an undergraduate student at Embry-Riddle. I am interested in all jobs involving STEM, with a particular interest in medical physics, research physics, and applied physics. I am interested in full-time positions and internships. I can be flexible about location, but I am not interested in remote work; I will be willing to do hybrid onsite-remote work, but will not do purely remote work. From my time at Fermilab working with SQMS/SRF (Superconducting Quantum Materials Sciences/Superconducting Radio Frequencies), I have experience in XRD procedures and analysis, XPS procedures and analysis, metallurgy (particularly doping and annealing techniques), laser optics engineering, and superconductors from my time at Fermilab working with SQMS/SRF (Superconducting Quantum Materials Sciences/Superconducting Radio Frequencies).Furthermore, from my time at Richard Fox contractors, I have technical experience, including blueprint analysis, machinery operation, carpentry skills, plumbing skills, and wastewater/stormwater management.During my time at Embry-Riddle, I spent 2 years working within ERPL (Engine Rocket Propulsion Lab), where I assisted in developing flight computers for amateur rockets. The flight computers developed included PID controllers, AHRS, data telemetry, and GPS locating. Most of the computers were built using Arduino platforms, later designs were built with ESP32 microcontrollers.I truly believe that I make a qualified candidate for any STEM-associate position. This is not only due to my profound interest and desire to build and develop (which I acknowledge does not make me stand out, since many of my peers share the same trait), but to my technical experience in an industrial setting (which many of my peers do NOT share). I would bring a more technical perspective to any job I would be hired for because of my hands-on experience in both building flight computers for ERPL, as well as the industrial site-work experience from laboring for Richard Fox Contractors.
