And I believe that logic and reason are at best half of what good thinking requires. Love and its consequent habits of heart nurture meaningful, valuable, world-changing ideas.Yet ideas alone are inert, no matter how insightful and innovative they may be. Stories are the songs to which our dreams learn to dance, the breath that brings our best ideas to life. We must craft them and tell them as boldly as we dare and always with the greatest of care.Such is how I’ve tried to live my life thus far: thinking deeply, loving generously, and telling stories well. Drawn forward by a vision of a kinder, more joyful, abundant, and compassionate world, I’ve tried to inspire, guide, and celebrate others in doing the same. In my multitude of seasons, I’ve manifested these ideas in many ways:*Entrepreneur & Consultant*I’m co-founder of one of the nation’s largest literary events, and of two agencies consulting on brand story and thought leadership.*Writer*I’m a 25-year veteran journalist, creative writing fellow at the Hambidge Center, and former literary magazine editor. I also collaborate with leaders to ghostwrite thought pieces and books.*Speaker & Facilitator*I give thought-provoking talks on art, love, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship. And I’ve facilitated hundreds of workshops for entrepreneurs and organizations committed to authentic abundance, generous leadership, and cultural change.*Performing Artist*I’m a 20-year veteran contemporary dancer, actor, and aerialist, and currently a board and company member of Burning Bones Physical Theatre.*Adventure Athlete*A former competitive cyclist and lifelong outdoor adventurer, I now lead a team of athletes competing in triathlons, obstacle course races, and adventure races.Today, I work toward truth, love, and beauty in many modes, with more yet to come as the future unfolds.
