I am the Ventilator Program Director and Director for Respiratory Care at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation & Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, NY. The Northeast Center is a specialized rehabilitation facility that focuses on aggressive ventilator weaning as well as traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. The unit I oversee is a 40 bed ventilator unit.I am responsible for all aspects of managing the Ventilator weaning program. Duties:Policy and Procedures - creating and updatingStaff management to also include hiring employees.Work directly with vendors to create new relationships and maintain budget conscious decisions. Liaison with the local colleges to provide a clinical site for Respiratory students to become familiar with long term care.
