Engineering Technician
•Tested circuits and devices to measure critical parameters and validate specifications for voltages, currents, charge/discharge applications, duty cycles, force and pressure measurements, material conductivity, run out, and material strength.•Conducted root cause analyses to research, test, and resolve product issues encountered by customer service engineers in the field.•Supported engineering cost-down initiatives by performing tests, reporting results, and documenting procedures for use by other technicians. Employed Failure Mode Effects (FME) Analyses, Design of Experiments (DoE), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and root cause analysis procedures. Played key role in numerous cost-down programs, including one that achieved $315,000 in savings over a three-year period. •Completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt DMAIC Project: Toner Cartridge Returns Database Design & Management. Converted manual returns process into fully automatic Access-based system, reducing three-day data-entry process to 15 minutes. Designed readily modified system in collaboration with Perl programmer to easily produce monthly reports that substantially improved management’s ability to forecast future trends, manage raw materials, monitor shipping costs, and manage green compliance (reducing landfill use). •Maintained global tooling database and parts list for facilities worldwide to achieve compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley asset audit requirements.
