Oversee the calibration, repair, replacement of 1,100 assets used in the manufacturing of Detector Silicon Wafers used in every single GE CT Scanner produced worldwide. Assure compliance is maintained with FDA Regulations and GE Quality Policy. Responsible for the purchase of production equipment used in the manufacturing process. Interface and update Production Engineering, Managers, Supervisors, Engineering Technicians every morning on calibration issues. Update GE’s calibration database EAM daily. Review all GE paper work, Certificates of Calibration, New Add Forms, Inactivation’s, Delinquency Reports, Defect Notifications, Equipment Transfers, Interval Extensions/Reductions. Work closely with skilled tradesmen, Electricians, Mechanics other Union employees at GE, IBEW,UAW, and understand and comply with Union work rules. All portable equipment for calibration is sent to manufacturers or Techtronics, which services approximate 90% of Detectors calibrated equipment. Route Out Of Tolerance Notifications (OTN’s) for equipment that failed calibration. Open NC’s and address any non-compliance issues. Equipment responsible for include Furnaces, Temperature Monitoring, Dew Point, Mechanical Measurement equipment, Micrometers, Calipers, Gage Blocks, Go-NoGo Gages, Ring Gages, Scales, Gas Flow Controllers, Liquid Flow Controllers, pH Meters, Radiometers, Dosimeters, Viscosity Meters, Hardness Testers & Hardness Standards, Electronic Comparators, OGP’s, Weigh Tanks, Conductivity Monitors, Micro-pipettes, Weights, Moisture Analyzers, ISO Presse’s, Pneumatic Torque Drivers, Torque Wrenches, Wire Saws, Depth Micrometers. Setting up PFESP/ Bread Rack Super Market that currently has over 1,000 unique spare parts.

Oversee calibration activities for 11,000 thousand of pieces of measurement equipment used in Production and R&D in Abbott Diagnostics Division. Served as technical consultant/expert/mentor to the manager of this Calibration Group from Fall 2008 to 2013. Supervise calibration group of 7 technicians of 24/7 support for calibration/repair of Abbott North Chicago/Skokie/Abbott Park plants. Served as Technical Expert and mentor for Metrology Section Manager and Technical assistance to Metrology Engineering group from 1996 to October 2000.
