• Manages both Geology and Grade Control Functions.• Signs off Resources as Database (data collection, sampling and analysis) CP for Hotazel Manganese Mines (Wessels and Mamatwan).• Plans, coordinates and manages the Exploration/Forward Prospecting drilling activities to mature the resources in line with the Life of Operation Plan.• Manages processing of drill core including logging, sampling and data processing.• Generates Short Term Resource Models and Reconciliations.• Provides input and reviews of the Global Resource Models.• Responsible for the management of the database.• Responsible for the initiation and regular reviews of Standard Operating Procedures for both Geology and Grade Control functions.• Responsible for QAQC within Geology and Grade Control.• Prepare and control expenditure against the budget.• Manages Geology/Grade control relationships with other external stakeholders (. i.e. Marketing, Integrated Operations).• Identify, develop and implement improvement strategies in all related areas.• Provides mentoring and guidance to students and graduates in the training programme

Hotazel Manganese Mine ( Wessels Underground And Mamatwan Open-Cast Mines)

• Chief Geologist over Mamatwan and Wessels Mine.• Planning and Coordination of exploration/forward prospecting activities in line with 5 year plan.• Managing the drilling contract in line with 5 years Mine plan.• Management of the geological database.• Management of Sampling/Grade Control Team.• Responsible for the generation and reconciliation of short range models.• Management of the geological and grade control services of the mine.• Responsible for data collection and validation for CP report.
