Thomas Reed is a senior executive with extensive experience in finance, operations, licensing, business development, management and fundraising in the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He formerly held several executive positions including at SIBIA Neurosciences (acquired by Merck), Merck & Co., Genomatica and GT Life Sciences (acquired by Intrexon). He has completed numerous financings for companies including public (IPO/NASDAQ), private investments, corporate partnerships, government grants/contracts, M&A’s, spin-outs and turnarounds and has a strong record of successful exits. Mr. Reed also has vast knowledge of intellectual property development, strategy, licensing and enforcement. He has formulated business models in diverse areas of biotechnology and, with his broad network of scientific and industry contacts, has played a key role in bringing together scientific and business teams. He has helped found and provided early investment and advisory services to a number of life science companies in the US and Europe. Mr. Reed is currently Founder & CEO of Reed-Ventures, where he provides investment and advisory services to life science companies. He also is an angel investor through NuFund Venture Group and the Keiretsu Forum.
