I was the Advertising Director for Pepperdine Graphic Media, which publishes Pepperdine's weekly student newspaper The Graphic, as well as various other publications throughout the school year, including the acclaimed Currents Magazine. My primary task was to seek out new advertisers, maintain existing accounts, and handle all aspects of billing and collection. Throughout my tenure, overall sales increased by over 150%, with digital advertising increasing by over 400%. I also implemented an entirely new bookkeeping system, utilizing Quickbooks, which allowed me to also drastically improve our average collection period from 38 days to 6 days. Furthermore, I managed and did weekly sales training with a staff of five individuals. Left the position upon graduation. Throughout my two years with PGM, my largest advertising clients included Maserati of Calabasas, Azusa Pacific University, AT&T, T-Mobile, Follett, and State Farm Insurance. Winner of a Pacemaker, the equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize in collegiate journalism, for Best Advertising Supplement in both 2015 and 2016.

I was tasked with hiring employees for three large truck stop locations, as well as the company's corporate office. Duties included recruitment and hiring of candidates for all positions within the company, the creation of a job performance evaluation system, and creation of an innovative new-hire training system to help increase retention and productivity.

This position was created in order to help facilitate a consulting job with Camcal, Inc, in Tacoma, in assisting with a total overhaul of their accounting systems and practices. Job duties included managing accounts payable and receivable, inventory control, creation of new safeguards and company practices in regard to financial data, and the hire of a new, permanent bookkeeper for the company.
