Dr. Reitz has been employed at the Air Force Research Laboratory since October 2000 during which time he has led multiple interdisciplinary research teams focused on providing advanced applied research technologies relating to aviation thermal management, fuel thermal systems, ceramic thermal coating processing and electrochemistry. Through partnerships with various government, academic, commercial and international entities, Dr. Reitz leads his teams in developing and transitioning advanced power and thermal solutions for various DoD applications including next-generation tactical/strategic aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and dismounted airmen. Dr. Reitz is currently the Principal Technical Advisor for the Mechanical and Thermal Systems Branch wherein he leads more than 30 researchers in the execution of $30M/year in Government R&D through in-house and extramural efforts.Specialties: Research, development, aviation power systems, aviation thermal management, electrochemistry, fuel processing, fuel thermal management
