I started with sales back in 1999, since then I have worked with selling both hardware and software.Being part of this journey has been incredibly exciting, especially given the earlier focus on hardware, to today's focus on software, virtualization and cloud solutions. Since 2006-2007 I have exclusively worked with software sales and services to related software, and the last years more and more cloud solutions.What I find really interesting during these years, is how fast the transition and development has been in the industry. For me who have worked with collaboration solutions the last 7 years, development especially around video conferencing been has fantastic. That we today can attend to a video call from any solution, device or even direct from a browser is just amazing. This shows that the industry is up to speed.After having worked in sales all these years, I have gained knowledge and experience that benefit my daily work. Although, I have a good understanding of technical solutions, I will say that my strengths in sales, is my ability to build relationships and listen to the customers. Today, the same solutions and the same services can be delivered from several different suppliers. What separates it, is usually only shades. Therefore, competence and being able to associate relationships becomes more and more important. People buys from people.
