An IT Field Engineer with more than 11 years professional experience, I covered all Arnold Clark sites, different Car Franchises, Insurance Services, Central Funding and Head Office etc. between Inverness and Birmingham, around 150 sites which is now over 200 sites.All the IT aspects were covered from PC Maintenance to Installation, Franchise Manufacturing Systems Software, Servers and Diagnostic Equipment, all Comms work. If a site went dark, identifying the problem and bringing site back up ASAP. There are so many different scenarios to describe on how to bring sites back to life. Comms tidy duties where we would rip out the old comms room kit and replace with new (out of hours). Refurbish/build new sites IT from the ground up.For the last couple of years, I have been stationed at GTG training and conference centre in Glasgow South St, I have been running the IT needs there on a permanent basis as the onsite IT Engineer. This position is customer facing with such companies as Amazon, BAE Systems and the NHS to name a few, all require forward planning and implementation of hardware/software for training day/days as well as Arnold Clark staff/Trainer’s requirements.
