Describe what makes you tick - I am a Mass-Of-One, and I often stand alone in my travels, more so relied on for answers to complex problems. I feed off of creating solutions, and feel truly gifted for my ability to face challenges without fear of failure. People rely on me for who I am.Explain your present role - I'm the Managing Director of Transportation for Pro*Fresh Logistics. Pro*Act gave me the massive opportunity to build Pro*Fresh Logistics from the ground up. Using my 20+ years of experience, contacts in the Produce Business and a world-class support system that is Pro*Act, Pro*Fresh Logistics brings value to it's customers on several fronts.. I excel in knowing growing regions, product specs, pallet counts and the intricacies of the produce business. I blend my knowledge of the produce industry and bring freight into the fold to be a well rounded professional who's abilities are unparalleled. Frame your past - Produce. Both my parents were in the Ag business when I was growing up. We moved around California a lot. New people and new schools were frequent. Mostly lived between Oxnard, Salinas, and Tulare county, California. I don't fit the migrant produce worker description at face value, but that's pretty much what we were. Very nomadic. So I would say I'm born and bred for this produce business. Highlight your successes - To see my kids and family flourish. If my family is happy, and we are healthy and doing great, that's enough barometer for me to consider being successful. Reveal your character - I'm real about things. I don't front, and am no bullshit. If it involves myself, or anything related to my business or family being at risk, I will work tenaciously to end that threat. I will ask the hard questions seeking results. I want point blank beta to work with and act accordingly. Show life outside of work - Not much life outside of work because if I didn't work, I would just go find more work. That's how I am. But I love to fly fish, am obsessed with mountain biking, and really love food and cooking. In my own mind, I am a professional chef. Ask for what you want - I want what I have worked for to benefit those that trust in me. In my own mind, I know that once given the chance, things end up like they always do, and this deep reliance for my presence and my contribution becomes standard. I'm happy with where I am, and the only improvement would be to see others around me be happy. If I look at you, and you're smiling, I'm going to be ok. "Judge not, before you judge yourself"
