Consulting assignment at Ingersoll Rand to address issues in EHS and Plant Supervision for a 550 employee, $300 mm ETO operation running 24/6. EHS - Act as EHS manager to transition the new team into Ingersoll Rand operating rhythms. Verify compliance with health and safety regulations and ensures all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Act as advisor to Safety Committee regarding projects and tasks. Manage the loss control and accident prevention activities, and ensures compliance with local, state, and national regulations. Research, evaluate, and recommend changes to improve EHS performance; provide advice on EHS issues to plant manager. Inspect workplaces, in order to minimize or eliminate hazards from processes (such as incorrect working methods) and materials (such as potentially toxic chemicals). Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. Identify potentially hazardous materials. Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs. Plant Supervision - Work alongside plant supervision to improve performance in communication initiatives and production planning activities. Foster and promote an environment of open communication and engagement. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production, assembling, or processing of goods. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Coach employees on Safety, Quality, and Production initiatives
