Supervised and led 13 Special Agents and 1 Criminal Intelligence Analyst, who conducted complex criminal investigations that protect the United States against violent gang members and other criminal organizations who threaten the safety of our nation; that combat transnational criminal enterprises who seek to exploit America’s legitimate trade, travel, and financial systems; and uphold and enforce America’s customs and immigration laws at and beyond our nation’s borders.

I led a standalone office in San Jose, California, which was comprised of twenty-six employees including Supervisory Special Agents, Special Agents, Task Force Officers, and various support staff. As the ASAC, I oversaw the office budget and administrative activities, as well as all programmatic areas of HSI investigations that span four counties, which covers a total of 7,072 square miles. I ensured all employees complied with agency policy when conducting or supporting investigations and ensured all employees received, completed, and maintained mandatory training requirements. One of my primary responsibilities was to represent the best interests of the agency through the creation and maintenance of strong working relationships with federal and local law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organizations.
