National General Contractor Building Multi-Family ProjectsSummit Contractors, Inc. is a nationally known multi-family general contractor. Projects assigned to me were in Florida and South Carolina. The most unique of which required substantial site development work to relocate lakes, wet lands, and endangered wildlife. Another note worthy challenge was the extreme political opposition and local government resistance encoutered and overcome on one project due to the involvement of powerful state level political influence, by others prior to construction, during the entitlement process.

Regional General Contractor Building Multi-Family, Health, and Military ProjectsRoyal American Construction, Inc. is a regional general contractor constructing multi-family, health, and military projects. My projects were located in Florida and North Carolina where I executed all of the firm's work in that state. The project mix included multi-family, health, and military. A Public Health Unit was the firm's first vertical construction for the state of Florida. An Air Force Temporary Lodging Facility, at MacDill A.F.B., was the firm's first vertical construction for the Corps of Engineers.

National General Contractor Building Multi-Family and Hotel ProjectsUniversal Constructors, Inc. was a nationally known multi-family and hotel general contractor. My projects were generally in the southeast, Texas, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts areas. At one point I was referred to as the "Marriott Residence Inn specialist" constructing the product of both wood framing and light gauge load bearing framing systems (both stick and prefabricated) including one in a union stronghold with non-union labor. I built the firms first two design build hotels.In addition to normal construction project management I was fortunate to receive a number of interesting assignments. I was asked at times to trouble shoot projects of others on an in house basis. This was followed by a construction consulting task order to facilitate the process improvent of and direction for two major multi-family renovations/asbestos abatements leading to success and cooperation for the REIT, developer, and unrelated general contractor. A more technical request was assuming overall management for a prefabricated wall panel company on the design, off-site fabrication, and erection of a light gauge load bearing steel framing system for a suite hotel.

Northern Virginia Real Estate Development CompanyH. P. Companies, formerly Hazel Peterson Companies and presently The Peterson Companies, is a "country store" of real estate development services and products in the Northern Virginia suburbs. My expertise and contributions were centered on the I66 corridor west of Washington D. C. in the Fair Lakes and Centre Ridge PUDS and the Virgina Center development at the Vienna Metro Stop. I managed apartment, condominium, and land development construction projects for both the Multi-Family and Land Development groups. All were design build and included involvement from inception through bond release. Two of the more challenging assignments were multi-family communities on 40 acres of problem soils. Due to marketing constraints the site work for the condominium component was done during winter weather to facilitate a sales advantage over competing developments. Several projects projects received county awards for conservation (tree preservation) and reforestation.
