Infrastructure Analyst / MSC Infrastructure Team Lead:•Installation, configuration and management of large scale data protection and disaster recovery solutions – dedicated and multi-tenant platforms. Installation of hardware including Dell/HP/IBM servers, FC and network switches, NetBackup deduplication appliances, EMC Data Domain, Quantum, HP, IBM and Oracle StorageTek tape libraries.•Maintaining a stable, predictable and scalable backup and recovery environment for the delivery of resilient, high availability backup and infrastructure services. Identifying and documenting technical standards, enhancements and proposals.•Assisting technical design authorities with platform designs for new bids and existing customers with a focus on achieving demanding recovery point objectives often for very large data volumes. Understanding the backup and recovery requirements of customers in the finance, retail, manufacturing, technology and government sectors.•Troubleshooting backup and restore failures via log file analysis, deployment and configuration of backup software and agents and responding to customer incidents, requests and escalations.•Performing restores for Windows and UNIX operating systems – ranging from single files, databases to entire server restores.•Out of hours support as part of an on call rota.•Recent training courses attended: Dell Equallogic PS Series Storage Array – Install, Configure and Management.
