Beginning my journey at Worldpay as an analyst allowed me to develop an understanding of the payment industry from the ground up. I worked across all company verticals, specifically within the operational finance group, to support our SME/SMB merchants up to the largest tier-1 global corporate clients, either contacting the customer directly to discuss and resolve their funding issues or working internally with other teams to diagnose and resolve anomalies with settlement pathways. This role was heavily Microsoft Excel focused: exported banking data was used to chronologically follow the funding route which allowed discrepancies and unsuccessful events to be identified, addressed and reconciled.

Contributed to the research and development for oncological, cardiovascular, immunotherapy, and fibrosis medicines within the Analytical Strategies Operations group as an analytical scientist placement student. Completed 52 experiments in an analytical testing GMP environment - each experiment was evaluated and verified by a senior analyst to be of high standard and compliant with pharmaceutical regulatory SOPs. An independent research project was also conducted, in which an analytical method for the detection of warfarin was developed and optimised. The final developed analytical method could be carried 10 times faster as compared to the previous method.
