I am a full time Physician Assistant working in inpatient Thoracic Surgery at Hartford Hospital. My role involves caring for patients post-operatively, following thoracic surgeries such as wedge, segment and lobe resection of the lung, esophagectomy, hiatal hernia repair, pleural decortication, rib plating surgery, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, among other procedures. I also care for patients with pleural effusions and pneumothoraces. I perform bedside procedures including chest tube placement and removal, intrapleural medication administration, pleurodesis, wound-vac changes and nasogastric tube placement. I interpret labs and imaging, communicate with other providers, nursing, patients and families to facilitate patient care.
