As part of this group, I helped reform school policies in areas of discipline, professional development, and curriculum. Nominated and selected to serve on the Council of Educators’ Preparedness Programs at UNC-P. Classes taught include: • American History 2 Honors (Core/State Tested Course)o In my first year, my students saw their average growth scores as measured by the NCFE improve from -1.1 to + 3.3. o My students achieved an average proficiency increase of 7.8% over their previous year’s American History 1 NCFE. o Achieved a 100% pass rate on the NCFE.• Cambridge Psychology, Sociology, and Geography (Social Studies Elective)o Students in my Cambridge courses have achieved final exam pass-rates that exceed those of other students in the region. o Student final exam performance has increased year-over-year for 3 consecutive years. • Journalism/Newspaper (Social Studies Elective)

During my service I was responsible for many duties including practice set-up and breakdown, equipment maintenance and inventory, team travel arraignments, and game-day management. I also served as an academic liaison, helping to monitor and encourage the academic progress of student-athletes.
