Responsible for a yearly spend of app. 1 billion USD.Main responsibilities of the team:- Ensuring contracts are negotiated for suppliers used by Hapag including completion of all relevant internal and external analysis; spend analysis, market analysis, supplier evaluation, procurement strategy (E-tender, face-to-face etc.), execution etc..- Decide medium/long term supplier strategies- Manage/optimizing supplier base ensuring consolidation if appropriate (+500 suppliers)- Supplier performance management- Contract implementation and communication to operations to ensure agreements are followed- Contract compliance

Managed global strategic sourcing projects with an annual spend of up to $100 mill.. Projects included end-to-end sourcing activities among others strategy development, negotiations and contract implementation. Projects had high level of complexity involving senior stakeholders from within the organization.

During the three and a half years the office developed into being the Group Procurement office supporting the broadest portfolio of procurement activities; sourcing and category management, e-sourcing, data analysis and marked research, operational procurement, legal assistance, finance etc.. Head counts grew from 40 to over 100.Impact within the organization increased significantly. ROP grew from 6 to 20 during the time.Reporting to the Group Procurement CFO.
