Hayven is a nonprofit start-up filling gaps in service for cancer survivors. I assist the board of directors in a variety of capacities that include: Fleet and operations planning and relationships; Event participation (5K walks); Branding and photography (initially as a photographer and, more recently, as a collaborator on visual branding/props/staging; at the last photoshoot, I art directed a team of professional photographers, one from Forever21 and the other from Ocean magazine); Acquisitions and corporate partnerships; and Product development (primarily silk screened t-shirts).

I was the onshore/offshore photographer accompanying teams of marine biologists doing fish research and dives from research vessels such as The Yellow Fin and the game warden's boat The Thresher. Photos were published in Currents magazine.

Greater Los Angeles Area

I started at KLOS as a volunteer answering phones during listener-callins, and eventually became part of an events team that drove KLOS vans to venues throughout Southern California to promote the radio station by interacting with the general public, distributing SWAG, and often siginins autographs as Brian (of Mark and Brian in the Morning) due to an uncanny (I'm told) resemblance back in the day when rock and mullets were the rage.
