Responsible for managing the activities of the Transmission Right of Way (ROW) group. This group is responsible for securing land rights, licenses, leases, permits and other documents necessary for the construction, operation and maintenance of AEP's electric transmission facilities, and supporting the joint venture project ROW needs that are outside of AEP-Transmission territory. The position is responsible for timely, efficient and cost effective and proper execution of the groups duties. Manager's duties includes responsibility for interactions and negotiations with high profile or multi-state entities such as government agencies, corporations or major customers.Oversee activities in eleven states for over 40,000 miles of transmission lines. Manage a total right-of-way annual budget of $70M - $90M. Manage over 40 AEP employees and over 150 contractors.

Responsible for the acquisition of distribution line Right-of-Way, and other documents necessary for construction, operation and maintenance of electric distribution lines. Prepare Right-of-Way releases, right-of-entry contracts or other documents as necessary to acquire adequate rights for AEP's Electric Distribution facilities. Work with division personnel in settling claims and maintaining good right-of-way records. Consult and/or advise on matters pertaining to policies and procedures governing the acquisition of land and land rights.

Responsible for leading and managing multiple contracts, projects and staff over the Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky Regions. Day-to-day duties include: tracking projects to make sure they are completed on time and under budget; training new team members and implement policies and procedures; assign projects and track the progress of each teammate; review project files, maps, design plans, exhibits, and progress reports. Assist in bid proposals and the management of contracts and client invoicing. Review internal Profit & Loss statements, Business Development Outlook and Budgets.

Responsible for helping the general public with the everyday operating functions of the Franklin County Recorder’s database dating back to the 1800’s and hundreds of index and records books for older records, and for instruments filed after October 1980 via electronic images. Responsible of aiding the public searching for public information, including title search, tax claim, verification of ownership, determination of existing or conflicting easements and property information, and documentation of existing mortgages.
