Thomas has been a partner at Clifford Chance LLP since 1997 and is the Head of the Americas Banking & Finance Group, based in the Firm's New York office. Throughout his career, Mr. Schulte has held numerous positions within regional and global management. From 2006 - 2012, Mr. Schulte was a member of the Firm's Partnership Council, the supervisory board of the global Firm. From 2007 - 2013, Mr. Schulte was the Chairman of the Firm's global Audit Committee.Mr. Schulte's practice involves the representation of borrowers and lenders in all aspects of secured and unsecured financings, work-outs, restructuring and recapitalizations. Prior to becoming Partner, Thomas was an Associate Attorney at Rogers & Wells LLP in New York City (a predecessor firm which merged with Clifford Chance in 2000). Thomas worked in the real estate, banking, and corporate transactional practice areas during this time, concentrating on finance-related matters.
