Uspiritus, Inc. represents a merger between two 160-year-old institutions: Brooklawn Child & Family Services (United Church of Christ) and the Bellewood Home for Children (Presbyterian Church USA). Uspiritus serves 1,100 vulnerable children each year throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Closed 21 months of books for a $22 million budget within 16 weeks with temp accounting staff and completed 7 audits and 1 state Medicaid report within 8 months.

As a Community Development Financial Institution, FAHE, Inc provides access to commercial-lending capital to its 55+ consortium members who in turn build as many as 8,000 single-family homes across central Appalachia each year. FAHE then makes single-family mortgage loans to families who purchase the homes. FAHE also services the loans, provides consulting for CDBG, etc., and also develops low-income housing tax credits within its footprint. Over six years, part of team that increased revenue 5x, staffing 2.5x, and leveraged impact 10x. NeighborWorks America consultant since 2007.

Led childrens' choir, youth choir, adult choir, senior-adult choir, handbells, orchestra; led contemporary worship with a Praise Team; traditional worship; and blended worship.I served in an interim part-time capacity for a year (2001-2002) as Minister of Music & Worship at historic Walnut Street Baptist Church, Louisville, KY. I led contemporary worship, a traditional service; and a blended worship service with a 100-member choir and small orchestra aired live on the NBC affiliate WAVE-3 television. I co-wrote, produced, and directed the Church's 24th Annual Living Christmas Tree services with upwards of 300 members in the choir, actors, orchestra, and stage crews in 13 live performances.Since 2002, serve as supply Minister of Music & Worship and lay preacher. Also, play devotional piano services monthly in nursing homes and retreat centers and play for businesses who hold Christmas parties. Having left serving on staff, also chaired Personnel Committee, served as President of Church Choir, accompanist, adult VBS teacher, and led the evangelism team.In 2017-2018, served as rehearsal accompanist and onstage with the orchestra at Graceland Baptist Church, New Albany, IN.In 1987, served as the Convention Pianist for the 150th Anniversary of the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

ACA is a higher education consortium comprised of 37 small, liberal arts colleges in central Appalachia. In my role I built a new grant funding model and oversaw accounting, human resources, treasury functions, and information technology. In this grant funded role, my first priority was to audit 25 years of foundation and government grants for the retiring Executive Director and created an alternative funding model as ACA was too dependent on a single donor.

Serving in finance and investment, I played an integral part in growing the endowment from $650 million to almost $2 billion while raising $900 million and paying out 5% of the endowment each year. Also served to invest 10% of the unrestricted net assets of the Church on six continents into job creation, hunger relief, and low-income housing opportunities. Staffed the investment committee for 15 years and wrote investment compliance for a for-profit nationally chartered trust company (New Covenant Trust Company) and a for-profit 1940 SEC Act family of open-ended mutual funds (New Covenant Funds). Daily investment management supervision over almost $2 billion.
