I have thirty years experience in the industry. I have been involved in the planning and managing of change throughout the years. The industry that I work in is unrecognisable from where I started. The only constant has been people and they are all different. So I continue to learn and adapt. In 2014 I played a pivotal role in the management team at the Eurocentral site that successfully attained “The Shingo Prize”: the highest global recognition achievable for Operational Excellence. Eurocentral was the first site in the UK and the first newspaper company in the world to achieve this.

  Operations manager with responsibilities for managing a team of 20 Newsprinters staff, delivering printing operations of around four million copies weekly of NI titles and multiple contract titles such as The Daily Telegraph and The Financial Times. I also manage business partner teams, with total staffing of around 80 to deliver the most efficient and effective operation based on ISO standards (All 3 9001, 14001, 18001) and multiple KPIs based on people, safety, quality, cost and delivery metrics. Staff development, training and a program of Continuous Improvement based upon our own strategy (NCIS – Newsprinters Continuous Improvement Systems based on a Lean strategy)
