Trained and worked in all aspects of Stage Craft and also trained with local IATSE 205 in stage rigging and was the house rigger for the Frank Erwin Center (18,200 seat arena). In addition to rigging I was part of the house crew for over 9 years as a stagehand, follow spot operator (manual feed carbon arc and Xenon), University certified forklift operator and also trained as an Asst Stage Manager at the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin. For FILO I was a rigger and stagehand working at almost every venue in the Austin and San Antonio areas training and working as Lighting, Video and Sound Assistants. The Entertainment Workforce employed me as an assistant house rigger (also trained by IATSE 205), stage hand and follow spot operator at the Austin Music Hall and The Backyard in Austin, TX for over 4 years as part of the House Crew. I have over 9 years experience as a union trained rigger and stagehand, working as lighting, sound and camera assistants and am well versed in all aspects of the various crafts involved with private, touring and industrial trade shows from crew management, scheduling, setup, stage management, cabling, electrics and rigging through the final strike!

Took care of this 7 piece bands instruments and gear (over 6800lbs) including the stage left guitar, bass and keyboard technician and sound assistant for wireless mics for vocals and all wireless systems for all guitars and drums and percussion mics. Patched stage sound setup for monitors and front of house. Coordintated with local crews and touring crews... Time keeper extrodinaire to the magical stage setup and schedule! Had the band members backs, looking out for their best interests while touring nationally in all 48 contiguous states and internationally in Canada, Europe and Japan.

I was an Assistant Gunner for a M224 60mm Mortar Team within a Weapons Platoon providing direct and indirect fire support to the rifle platoons. I mainly trained reservists in the proper firing techniques particular to the M224 60mm and M252 81mm Mortar Systems. I cross trained on the M-60 Machine Gun and was selected for the Advanced Mortar Gunnery Course placing first in my class. I also held the Rifle Expert Marksmanship Badge. I severed a ligament in my right foot during a training exercise and was recommended for a Physical Evaluation Board and was given a Medical Discharge with a 10% VA Service Connected Disability rating. I started working for Gulf Aviation at the Valley International Airport (HRL) in 1982 while in the 9th grade and stayed there doing ground support for civil aviation and taking care of the Hanger and late arrivals until 1985. I moved to Carrolton, TX and went to work for Butler Aviation doing ground support at DFW International Airport / Terminal 2C which at that time serviced all the commercial international traffic for the airport. I worked for Butler Aviation for 1 year and then went back to Harlingen and joined the United States Marine Corps.
