• Three years working on a project to classify land cover of Wisconsin from LANDSAT Thematic Mapper Satellite imagery using ERDAS Imagine software. Project duties include; ground truth data collection, all phases of the image classification, accuracy assessment, and the design and production of all maps from the resulting land cover classification. A hybrid unsupervised/supervised classification technique called “Guided Clustering” was use for uplands while wetlands were classified by a supervised classification and urban areas with an unsupervised classification. • Five and a half years experience on numerous projects involving a wide range of natural resources GIS applications using Arc/Info and Arcview software. Main duties included; development of GIS data layers, cartographic design and production, automation of mapping routines with AML.• Worked as the production manager for a team of 10 developing a 1:24,000 scale hydrography data layer for the state of Wisconsin. Oversaw the workload, training, and quality control of 7 full and part time employees under the direction of the project leader. The project involved the construction of a digital layer of all statewide hydrography including codes for hydrography feature types, flow direction, connectivity, water body names, and data conversion and source information.
