I am very pasionate about marine engineering. I have been working in the oil tanker industry as an engineer since 2014. I have learned a ton about the oil tanker Industry, and have had vast experiences with repairing and troubleshooting ship equipment, both old and new tech.I graduated from SUNY Maritime College in 2014. While i was studying at Maritime College, I studied Marine Engineering/Naval Arcitecture with the USCG Engine Licence program. My training at Maritime college has greatly helped me to take up the leadership role of Chief Engineer on the 10,000hp tug Lynne M. Rose, (formerly the Kim M. Bouchard). My background in Naval Arcitecture gives me a stronger knowledge of ship stability and construction which helps me every day in my career. It was an excellent learning experience working alongside our shore side engineering team to see my ship through its 5year shipyard drydocking in 2021. I learned a ton from the shipyard experience with my vessel.In my free time, I enjoy repairing and restoring antique farm equipment (mostly 1960's era John Deeres), fixing up my farm/ house, sailing, skiing, and spending time in the outdoors. I hope to one day start up a small farm again at my residence in Northern, NY.
