Born in 2007, Sail1Design has grown considerably, and reaches out to all sailors wishing to enjoy and learn more about our sport. At Severn I taught AP European history, American history, Introduction to Philosophy, & Cold War.Created a new sailing venue for sailing team, coached team, and won Mallory National championship in 2008, the first Chesapeake Bay school to win a National Championship.

Varsity head coach of the Bowdoin Sailing team, competing in both fall and spring seasons. Involved lesson plan preparation for weekly meetings and on-the-water training, along with individual attention to each player. Responsibilities included all aspects of travel management, team budgeting, and boat service, upkeep and repair. Created most competitive, well-rounded program in school's history.

Started a sail loft business franchise in Falmouth, moved the company to South Freeport in 2002. Managed all aspects of the company including customer service & sales, manufacturing, employees, service and repair, accounting, employment, upkeep of machinery, and marketing. Company grew from a start-up to one-half million annual revenue by the 4th year. Sold business in 2004 and the business is still going strong.
