Tom Small I have been in the information technology business, specifically concentrating in the manufacturing and distribution environments for twenty seven years. I have worked in engineer to order companies producing fluid control and precision motion devices for private industry and the government sectors. My career began as a programmer and progressed through systems analyst, project manager and IT manager before embarking into consulting at Computer Associates, promoting discrete manufacturing software solutions, ManManX and then into MK Manufacturing. While I was IT Manager around the 1994-1995 time frames I managed the project to implement ManManX. During my IT Career I spent close to eight years working in the distribution business for the largest industrial distributor of electronic parts, enterprise computing and storage products as well as embedded subsystems supporting the absorption of large acquisitions into existing IT infrastructures. My experience in the manufacturing and distribution environment has provided me with a sound basis for consulting and promoting software solutions to customers. I have worked at Infor and previously SSA Global since 2004. My main area of expertise is the Product Configurator but I also have experience in the service capability in LN, in addition to the standard capabilities of the system such as Sales, Purchasing, Production, Scheduling, etc.. I have demonstrated virtually every other aspect of LN but in finance to a lesser extent. Since Infor I've moved on to presenting Microsoft Dynamics AX and now Dynamics AX 2012 R2. I've also worked as a contractor in my own business supporting an implementation of ERP LN in Europe.
