Responsible for training students in the art of Network Communications, Active Directory with Windows 2003 Server and Security. Responsible for creating the Course Syllabus, homework assignments, quizzes, exams and labs. Classes are taught with extensive “Hands On” lab experience to assure the student is ready to apply what they have learned in the “real world” of network computing. Classes are taught in the evening, twice a week based on 10 week quarters. Am also responsible for instructing beginning Computer Users via online classes through the WAOL Blackboard Online Instruction System. Certified Instructor for WAOL Courses.

Responsible for assisting in, or leading, the design, configuration, and day-to-day administration of multiple physical and virtual local area networks and network devices including hubs, switches, servers, workstations, printers, host firewalls, and intrusion detection and prevention systems as well as managing local cable and wireless distribution points and network infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and SNMP. Additionally responsible for coordinating with enterprise IT staff for centralized wide area network management on WAN issues effecting the Department. Responsible for Active Directory domain planning and administration, including managing domain controllers, updating user and computer accounts, and developing and administering Active Directory group policy. Coordinate with LAN administrators from external agencies in managing a shared Active Directory forest. Perform daily administration of 63 Court Room Clerk PC’s verifying the data in the FTR Gold and JAVS Audio Video Courts archive to the Archive Servers while assuring the Court Clerks have access to all needed applications and data to perform their daily Court processes.

Design, implement and maintain physical and virtual networks while managing court audio/video digital recordings and administering a 400 plus member network within the Department of Judicial Administration.

Designed, developed and implemented the network infrastructure for the remodel of City Hall. Worked directly with the City Manager, Director of Finance, Director of Management Services and CISCO Systems in the planning and purchasing of the CISCO switches for the installation. Met all deadlines and requirements to insure all City departments were on-line by the move in date.Responsible for maintaining the LANS/WANS for City Hall and the remote offices of related departments. Duties include: Network administration of a Novell IntraNetWare 4.11 File Server complete with a VINCA Backup Server for automatic fail over. Administration includes the setup and configuration of City-wide users and groups to gain access to file servers, network applications and network printers including the City’s GIS system.
