with 20 years of experience in electrical and a passion to learn, I have progressed from being a nuclear submariner to becoming the electrical subject matter expert for Commissioning Agents Inc. In the nuclear navy, I developed an understanding for work controls, complex procedure writing and procedure implementation along with troubleshooting and repairing failed equipment. From the nuclear navy, I went into steel manufacturing, where I was responsible for "firefighting" failed equipment. This means that I needed to have a clear understanding of equipment and "make the equipment work", whether through automation fixes or rewiring, the solution had to be correct and rapid, followed by a proper notation so that the equipment could be properly restored during shutdown. Finally, I started commissioning with Primary Integration Solutions. Within 8 months, I was the lead electrical on a 32 MW facility. I developed a strong reputation with my clients for having a clear understanding of the equipment, specifications, and even electrical theory allowing me to identify not only design flaws but explain and mediate failures prior to any catastrophic issues or resultant downtime.
