Motivated Software Developer, and Veteran trained in C#, JavaScript, .Net, SQL, MySQL, PowerApps, JSON, Node.JS, HTML, and CSS. Driven to exceed expectations. I first took an interest in programming as a child on my Father's MS Dos computer. He had a Basic programing book and I programmed very basic messages to appear on the screen. This was before computer graphics were any good. I dreamed of programming and maybe designing graphics. However, life took me in different directions and I focused most of my youth on learning percussion and guitar. In my 20's I tried different jobs like construction, recycle truck driver and welding gas delivery driver. At the age of 24 I joined the Canadian Armed Forces. Out of aptitude alone vs credentials, they hired me and trained me to be a Communications Systems Technologist. It was there that I regained my love for math and electronics. I moved on to study financial administration as I also had an interest in spreadsheets and budgets. In 2021, it was time for a change. I wanted to stop moving around, and be in a more relaxing environment. So, I left the Canadian Armed Forces. I took some time to explore what I wanted to do, and decided to take Software and Web Development in school. I enjoy the creativity of working with CSS and the challenge of creating functions with JavaScript or C#. On my course we also studied project management and project management for developers. I am a doer and will excel in a leadership position in the future, however, I wish to gain experience and build skills as a developer first. I love to turn on my music, and get to coding. I tend to be able to get hyper focused in an environment with minimal distractions. Going to school from home during the pandemic has allowed me to do this. I was able to finish my school program early as a result. When I am not working or studying you will find me walking my dogs in the woods somewhere, going for a cold plunge with my cold swim group, or hitting up a local yoga studio. I dream of owning a hobby farm one day. I achieved my goal of moving back to the country.
