While pursuing a major in economics and a mathematics minor, these courses have equipped me with a unique set of problem solving and analytical skills which I am prepared to apply in a career in accounting/finance/economics. Additionally, the courses at Muhlenberg College have provided a considerable background in applied mathematics in topics that include financial mathematics, econometric modeling, and statistical analysis. The course work has taught me the skills to become extremely proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Interpersonal and communication skills were also developed through the course work at Muhlenberg as well as the leadership activities I've pursued. My enthusiasm for accounting, finance, and economics, evident by my 3.9 GPA in my major as well as awards including highest GPA in economics, will translate into enthusiasm for any position I pursue, and my relevant skills will be an asset to your organization. I'm seeking a position that is challenging and rewarding, where I can make a positive contribution to the company—working on a team with an elite group of individuals to achieve a common goal; the success of the company.
