Technical leader with extensive experience in digital media, e-commerce and data driven web applications. Currently a Principal Software Engineer at Vox Media LLC where I am the engineering lead across audience platform teams. My primary focus is building the next generation platform to power the consumer experience of the brands under the umbrella of Vox Media LLC. I focus on technical leadership, cross-team collaboration and individual contributions to the core architecture of the platform.I have expertise in all areas of the stack having worked on component development, API development and application architecture (front and back-end). I have been responsible for a variety of features as well as large scale projects which have included both internal tooling and high traffic, high visibility, products and user experiences. My technical experience spans a large number of JavaScript and PHP libraries and frameworks. Throughout my history of back-end development I have worked extensively with both relational and non-relational databases as well as a variety of ORMs and database abstraction tools.
