About Thomas Stanton

For more than 20 years, I have worked with Deaf/hard of hearing students and students with disabilities as a teacher, Supervisor, and Administrator. I have worked in a public school system and in residential schools for the Deaf and at all grade levels. As a Special Education Supervisor in a public school system, I was responsible for providing professional leadership, consultation, and support to teachers to ensure the provision of effective classroom instruction and compliance with district, state, and federal mandates. As an administrator at three residential schools for the Deaf, I have been responsible for coordinating and providing professional development, coordinating curriculum, exploring educational innovations, monitoring current and future trends in education, gathering and analyzing data in order to maintain student success, and observing and evaluating staff.
