As a part time Industry Advisor I am responsible to serve as a mentor and grading instructor for College of Engineering Senior Design Projects. In this role, I perform the following duties:• Mentor diverse, multi-disciplinary student teams for Senior Design I and Senior Design IIcourses.• Meet weekly with student team and mentor them to ensure that the project stays on track andmeets the desired outcomes of the College of Engineering for the academic courserequirements and the Industry Supporter for the defined scope.• Promptly grade students according to the course syllabus and grading templates. • Work with Senior Design Committee Chair and Industrial Solutions Laboratory Director to handle any issues that arise in order to produce successful teams and results.• Maintain positive relations with industry supporters to encourage continued participation byindustry supporters with the Senior Design Program and the College of Engineering.• Attend all Project team events that occur on campus or at the Industry Supporter. Examples ofthese events are weekly team meetings, data gathering visits to industry supporters, designreviews and Expos.

Served in multiple capacities in Multi-Phase Subsea Pump Testing, Multiphase Pump Bearing Development, and GE Aviation Advanced Instrumentation. Drove the efforts of a global team of engineers, technicians, and contractors. Led team through design reviews with chief engineers within GE Oil & Gas.Key Achievements• Designed, constructed, and operated a state-of-the-art, multi-million-dollar test facility for the prototype multi-phase pump.• Developed a complex DAQ system and a new instrumentation package to monitor pump health and performance.• Designed, built, and operated a sub-scale bearing test rig to develop process lubricated journal bearings.• Spearheaded testing for the development of a journal bearing leveraging process fluid as a lubricating medium; enabled the development and evaluation of state-of-the-art long-life bearing component technology.• Successfully led the design and installation of advanced health monitoring sensors for new military aircraft engines.• Coordinated installation of new sensors prior to the test engine fire date.
