Managed Fleetguard's largest single aftermarket customer account. Rebuilt our working relationship by improving the level and quality of support and by improving the timeliness of our response. Grew this very mature account by 15% during my tenure.

Leveraged Cummins' engine customer relationships into business opportunities for filtration and exhaust products. Developed application tools to support Application Engineers in the installation of air filtration and exhaust products on customer platforms.

Led a team that developed fuel, lube, and coolant filtration and engine tubing products for use on Cummins' engines. Successfully launched filtration systems and EGR tubes for the 2002 HD emissionized engines. Patent #6,840,386 for Unitary Centertube was issued with me as the primary inventor.

Launched 1998 Cummins HD engine fuel, lube, and coolant filters in August, after joining the company in June. That family of filters is among the highest volume parts sold today by Cummins Filtration. After launch, I spent much of the next two years performing cost reduction and process improvement projects. One of those projects won the Chairman's Award for Six Sigma. Another of those projects resulted in the issuance of Patent #6,554,140 for Widemouth Inner Seal Arrangement, for which I was one of the inventors.

Managed all major capital equipment projects for a Japanes JV with Japan Brake. Installed an innovative finishing line that included toolless compound grinding, ultra thin powder paint, and infrared powder curing. I also initiated work on a backplate preparation line that was installed after I left the company. Also managed all QS9000 process documentation including PPAPs, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and SPC.
