My competencies are in Strategy, Investments and Governance.I spent my career in the financial industry and specifically in Wealth Management. Born and raised in Switzerland, I had assignments in various countries during the 35+ years of my executive career. This helped me to develop a deep understanding for the cultural differences and see things from different angles. During the 30 years with UBS I could learn all aspects of Wealth Management with the global leader in this field. Various client facing functions and management roles gave me invaluable insight in different juristictions and a fast changing regulatory environment. My CEO role in Belgium kicked-off when UBS Belgium was a start-up, challenging the well-established local players on their home turf. In 2009 we won the MoneyTalk award as best private bank in Belgium. The navigation through the financial crisis was a challenging experience and helped me to understand how important communication is with your clients.When I moved back to Luxembourg in 2014 for the CEO function at VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA, the bank was facing challenging decisions. We changed the operational model and focused the local organization on client activities. Various transactions with Nordic counterparties increased the bank´s asset based and allowed me to strengthen my M&A experience.I completed the INSEAD International Directors Program in Corporate Governance in 2019 and the ILA Director Certificate in 2020.
