At Cepheid I managed the Supply Chain and Inventory department which consisted of the production & material planning, purchasing & procurement and inventory. I was responsible that all areas of the supply chain supported the manufacturing activities and demand of the market. I was responsible for the supply chain of pharmaceuticals from production sites to the multimarket warehouse, to the Swedish distributor (Oriola) and finally delivery out to the different pharmacy chains and hospitals. Product market value was 1 billion SEK per year. Tasks and accomplishments, in a condensed format, consisted of:• Develop processes and communication between internal and external stakeholders• Continuously analyze inventory levels and forecasting demand• Financial statement on inventory and sales• Worked cross functional with regulatory, marketing and finance• Move of Nordic central warehouse from Germany to Poland• Moving the planning to a central hub in London• Upgrade of SAP (Pan European project)

Involved in everything between assisting our clients improve their logistics solutions to educate new users in how to use the ERP system, called M3 (formerly known as Movex). Main areas in M3 were inventory control, purchasing / procurement, distribution, internal logistics, service and production. My business focus was primarily wholesalers and distributors, service and manufacturing industries.

Work involved to coordinate and improve the areas of order department, materials management department and warehouse and maintain close contact with ESAB factories in Laxa and around the world. It also meant to follow up on our external suppliers’ delivery performance against the warehouse and our delivery to our sales companies / end users and drive projects to improve the daily work. I worked closely with sales, purchasing and transportation department. Last 1,5 years, I was part of a pan-European project with the goal to simplify and streamline the logistics flows among the European warehouses, ESAB factories, customers, and external suppliers. The end goals were to shut down local market warehouses, set up regional multimarket warehouses and change the way ESAB planned the stocks, meaning the factories got the responsibility of planning stock levels to all warehouses, a sort of VMI solution. Also, customer order hubs were created to handle whole regions, instead of having a customer service desk per market / country. At the same time I was involved in the upgrade of ESABs ERP system, from Movex 9 to Movex 12.

I worked as a project manager within logistics on a strategic level. The project’s main goal was to reduce lead times and improve delivery precision of mobile phone switches to the customer, and at the same time reduce the delivery cost, according to the Time To Customer methodology. The market I was responsible for was the USA, with 13 prioritized customers (operators). The position involved coordinating improvements, inform and control that goals had been reached before proceeding to the next step in the project. To my assistance I had cooperation with other sister organizations within core unit supply that specialized in different areas of the logistics chain, such as product package development, procurement, software development, etc.
