I've been at Easter Idaho Regional Medical Center since 2012. Although I now work primarily in outpatient therapies, I've worked a few different areas within the hospital. When I first started, I worked with the wellness center team two days a week and working in outpatient therapies three days a week. In the wellness center, our team did consultations pre and post operation for patient's working up to bariatric surgery. As this service started to fade away, we began classes for employee called 10-4. A ten-week course taught by experts in a variety of disciplines. When the wellness center dissolved, I was integrated into outpatient therapies full time. Through my time in outpatient services, I've learned many new skills: CPR certified, working with other providers offices to obtain referrals and other necessary documents, prior authorizing patients for outpatient therapies, working with medical records to ensure patient accounts and information are correct, ordering supplies and annual inventory, doing ergonomic workstation evaluations and much more.
