My current position is versatile and involves a lot of interaction and cooperation with various departments in our work place. My primary responsible are for the design, construction, managing, operating, sampling, and analyzing of mid- to large- scale algae cultivation systems. Secondary responsibility include generation/maintaining of Matlab GUI's for company use, and developing new operating protocols to reduce cost and increase efficiency of analysis and procedures.I work outside maintaining and operating the cultivation systems , constructing new designs/concepts, in the laboratory processing and analyzing samples, in the meeting room developing new designs, troubleshooting and preforming root cause analysis on current systems, and at my desk developing new operating procedures or Matlab code for company usage.

My primary responsibility was to teach and manage the 3000 level Microbiology course. Classes consisted of a lecture lab combo, where I would lecture on class subjects then switch to hands on interactive labs, from basic microscopy skills such as heat fixing and gram staining, to transformation labs to introduce genetic manipulation of bacteria cells. Outside of lecture/lab involved assigning online homework, quizzes, exams, and fielding student questions on subject matter.
